When we played in the elite round we were not favourites to get through. The big teams didn't think we were strong then. Our players gained some valuable experience in that round playing against the likes of England and Scotland. A European Championship is a different stage, however, as all the teams are at the same level. I want to say my biggest thank you to UEFA and the local federation, as everything was organised to a high standard. The stadiums, pitches, and so on were fantastic. It was a great pleasure for me and my team to play in this championship.
