Chelsea FC manager Rafael Benítez has confirmed that playmaker Eden Hazard is out of Wednesday's UEFA Europa League final, but hope remains that John Terry will be fit to face SL Benfica at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Hazard has not recovered from the hamstring injury he suffered in the Blues' 2-1 Premier League victory at Aston Villa FC on Saturday, when centre-back Terry was carried off in the 74th minute with an ankle problem.

Speaking at the pre-final press conference, Benítez said: "Hazard will not be available; John, we'll have to see how he feels tomorrow. It's not the best injury, but we'll have a look today and decide after."
