Portugal's 3-2 comeback defeat of Finland on Friday not only gave the home side hope of pipping their visitors to the UEFA Women's EURO 2017 play-off – it also meant three teams automatically qualified for the finals in the Netherlands.

Thanks to Finland's loss, Scotland, Belgium and Iceland all knew they would now, at worst, be one of the best six group runners-up who would not need to go through the play-offs.
