Who is in the draw?

Seeded: AC Milan (ITA), Arsenal (ENG), Atalanta (ITA), Athletic Club (ESP), Atlético Madrid* (ESP), Braga (POR), CSKA Moskva* (RUS), Dynamo Kyiv (UKR), Lazio (ITA), Leipzig* (GER), Lokomotiv Moskva (RUS), Plzeň (CZE), Salzburg (AUT), Sporting CP* (POR), Villarreal (ESP), Zenit (RUS)

When and where is the draw?

The draw begins at 13:00CET on Monday 11 December. It takes place at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, and immediately follows the UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw.

How will the draw work?

There will be two pots of clubs for the round of 32 draw: the 12 group winners and the four best third-ranked teams in the UEFA Champions League group stage are seeded. They will be drawn against the 12 group runners-up and the remaining third-placed UEFA Champions League sides.

Is it an open draw?

2016/17 Europa League highlights

No team can play a club from their UEFA Europa League group or a side from the same national association. Based on decisions taken by the UEFA Executive Committee, teams from Russia and Ukraine cannot be drawn together.

How can you follow the draw?

It will be streamed live on UEFA.com, with the best coverage also available throughout the day on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

When are the ties?

Games will be played in principle on Thursdays 15 and 22 February at 19:00CET and 21:05CET, with the exact schedule released after the draw. The seeded teams are at home in the second leg.
