Watch Manchester United's 2016/17 triumph

The Cup winner of the association ranked 13th in the 2017/18 access list was handed an automatic group stage berth as Manchester United – who would have been in the group stage based on last season's Premier League position will instead play in the UEFA Champions League as UEFA Europa League winners.

A country's representation in the UEFA Europa League is determined by its UEFA coefficient ranking as of the start of the previous season, which is calculated over a five-year basis.
