Ticket sales for the UEFA Champions League final, to be played at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid on Saturday 22 May, will begin during the afternoon of Monday 8 March – exclusively via Europe's football website UEFA.com.
The international general public will be able to apply for two tickets per person from an allocation of 11,000 until the deadline of 18.00CET on Friday 19 March. Once the sales window closes, the ticket allocation will be decided by a lottery which every valid request will enter, provided it is made within the application period.
The net capacity of the Santiago Bernabéu for the UEFA Champions League final will be 75,000, with the vast majority of tickets being reserved for either the international general public or supporters of the two finalist clubs. The finalist clubs will receive 21,000 tickets apiece, to distribute directly to their fans, meaning a total of 42,000 tickets for their followers, on top of the 11,000 made available worldwide through UEFA.com.
These figures include a new feature for this season's first Saturday final of the UEFA Champions League – the youth package. Some 2,000 tickets are destined for junior supporters of the two finalists and another 500 for youngsters from the general public, amounting to 2,500 tickets sold at a 50% discount for children. The youth package also comprises a full-price ticket for an accompanying adult.
The remaining tickets will be allocated to the European football family, including UEFA, the local organising committee, national associations, commercial partners and broadcasters.
Ticket price categories open to the international general public are: Category 1 – €300 (youth package €450); Category 2 – €225; Category 3 – €155 (youth package €232.50); and Category 4 (€90).
With the submission to UEFA.com of their request, the applicant accepts the ticketing terms and conditions. Action will be taken in cases of infringement. Online applications will be checked against police data to ensure that anyone banned from stadiums is unsuccessful in any attempt to purchase tickets. Persons attending the final are warned that tickets will be personalised and that security checks at the stadium are planned. UEFA underlines that no tickets are being distributed via agencies or brokers. UEFA also encourages fans not to be lured into deals with touts who not only demand exorbitant prices but often are not in possession of the tickets they purport to have for sale.
