Dortmund break group stage goals record

Marco Reus's late equaliser for Borussia Dortmund away to Real Madrid on Wednesday was significant on several fronts.

Most immediately, it meant the German side pipped their opponents to top spot in Group F; in the longer scheme of things, it earned Thomas Tuchel's team a UEFA Champions League record.

Dortmund's tally of 21 goals in this group stage surpasses the previous best of 20 set by Manchester United in 1998/99 and since equalled three times – most recently by Barcelona only 24 hours before.
