Having made it into the final XI for the UEFA.com users' Team of the Year 2015, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar will discover which of them has won the 2015 FIFA Ballon d'Or at a gala in Zurich this evening, with the results show starting at 18.30CET.

Neymar and Messi were two of the outstanding performers in the Barcelona team that followed up a domestic double with victory in the 2015 UEFA Champions League final. Messi consequently picked up the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award in Monaco in August.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, set a personal-best tally of 61 goals last season – including 48 in the league – in retaining the Ballon d'Or and claiming his fourth ESM Golden Shoe.

Ronaldo could win the Ballon d'Or for a third year in succession, while Messi could be named the world's best for the fifth time. Johan Cruyff, Michel Platini and Marco van Basten all won the Ballon d'Or on three occasions in its pre-FIFA incarnation.

Meanwhile, Barcelona's Luis Enrique and Bayern München boss Josep Guardiola join Chile's Jorge Sampaoli on the shortlist for the FIFA World Coach of the Year for Men's Football.

Germany's Célia Šašić – winner of the 2015 UEFA Best Women's Player in Europe Award – is in the final three for the FIFA Women's World Player of the Year accolade along with the United States' Carli Lloyd and Japan's Aya Miyama.
