Pride
"I think the national team is now connecting with the people," he told uefa.com. "People are becoming proud of the performance and the behavior of the national team, which was reflected in their appreciation, in their joy, during and just after EURO 2008. It also reflects very much on what is needed desperately in Russia. Everyone is now participating and initiating youth [programmes] and improving the infrastructure. This is an encouraging role that the national team played in the recent months." To watch the interview click above.
