A former international fencer from 1989 until 1996, Florence Hardouin became world vice-champion with the French national épée team in Budapest in 1991 and won three World Cup tournaments. She started her professional career at the French ministry for sports and youth in 1991, and worked for different companies including Bouygues, the Canal + group and SFR before joining the French Football Federation (FFF) in 2008.

Florence Hardouin joined the FFF first as head of marketing and commercial development, and was promoted to the position of deputy chief executive officer in 2011, before becoming general manager in 2013.

She was elected as female member of the UEFA Executive Committee at UEFA's Congress in Budapest in May 2016.
